Today I finished splicing the clips we filmed using final cut pro. I also had to cut the separate clips down to appropriate length. For example, one of the clips had a bit of talking before it got going so I cut all the talking out leaving only the best part so that it would fit into the one minute time requirement. I then had to add various filters to the trailer for example the rain filter and the darkness filter which I felt were both necessary to the horror theme as they give off a spooky and serious vibe. I also added a night vision goggle filter to one scene which gave the feeling of being watched from off screen. Afterwards the rest of my group added the remaining features for example the sound and imported the title now all that's required now is the voice over and it will be complete.

Today I have finished the editing segment of the trailer and added the sound to the trailer. We selected backing music that was quite eerie, spine tingling and fit the horror genre. I then had to cut the music clip down as it was too long but I had to use the blade tool to cut out the unnecessary parts so that we were left with only the best and most suitable parts in the right places. We chose the area we used for filming was ideal as it had plenty trees and could make for a fitting scene for a horror movie. The weather at the time of filming was grey and miserable however we also filmed in daylight hence why I had to add a filter over the shots to make it appear like it was night.

Yesterday I had to go back and make some edits to the trailer for example I had to increase the volume on the footsteps and the music because it was too quiet and we just made it louder. Another more interesting error was that as the title was shown a message along the lines of "no description" kept flashing onto the screen for a split second and we had to delete that which took a while.

I later made sure that everything was properly sorted before Jack imported it onto his pen-drive and now we just need to upload onto youtube.

I purposefully made it so that there was no sound at the end after the scream. This was used so that after the loud piercing sound there was complete silence which ended the trailer in a dramatic and attention grabbing fashion.
