This is my Wix blog for a film trailer.
I will need the following skills Technical aptitude meaning to be good with computers, knowledge of editing software, creativity under pressure, imagination, excellent communication skills, Ability to work under pressure, organisation, getting all the equipment and props ready and booked, making sure we can keep to deadline also to use phones to call and make sure everybody is at right place at the right time. and financial skills or time management making sure I have enough time for the editing suite and to create the film trailer, Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legalization which would include being aware of any cars if being filmed outside. Along with any health and safety issues like slip hazards both inside and outside. We will also be mindful of the weather just in case it's not to cold or wet.
My responsibilities in the group will be to make sure that the various filmed footage clips
are edited right so that they can form a decent trailer.I will also have to make sure everyone else has finished their respective jobs as that is what's required for me to do my job.
Today we did our filming and we got off to a delayed start at first we didn't have all the different parts for the camera so we had to get the teacher to fix the camera before we could do any recording. In future we will make sure we have all the equipment before we leave the room. Today was ideal as the weather was dry but dark so it fit the theme. While we were editing however we were told we would have to reshoot most of the scenes as our student lanyards were visible which broke the atmosphere of the scenes. However when we reshot these scenes we made sure our lanyards weren't visible.

Conduct research including a mood board with possible ideas, existing posters that have inspired you etc.
I have done research into numerous horror film posters and I took inspiration from 6 of the many that I found. They are all shown bellow and I have done descriptions about why each one is a good film poster and all the different specific details that make each poster unique and stand out from the rest. I also wrote about the different character positioning s and size compared to each other and discovered that they were all exclusively unique to each other.

BBFC:
What is their mission?
What do they do? "The BBFC is a trusted guide to media content. Working as an independent, self-financing and not-for-profit media content regulator, the BBFC operates transparent, consistent and trusted co-regulatory and self-regulatory classification and labelling systems in the UK."
What do they do?
"The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), previously the British Board of Film Censors, is a non-governmental organization, founded by the film industry in 1912 and responsible for the national classification and censorship of films exhibited at cinemas and video works."
📷 U rating: Films of this rating are suitable for anyone aged 4 or older and don't contain any foul language or gruesome scenes. The issue with these is certain things may frighten certain children. There also won't be any drugs or sexual content here.
📷PG ratings: These films won't be suitable for young children however will be suitable for some older children. These usually include minor language and occasional crude humour however there will be nothing too extreme.
📷12A ratings: The 12A rating is only used for films shown in cinemas. Films rated 12A are suitable for children aged 12 and over. However, people younger than 12 may see a 12A so long as they are accompanied by an adult. In such circumstances, responsibility for allowing a child under 12 to view lies with the accompanying adult.
📷12 rating: The 12 rating is only a small bit greater than the 12 A rating. These may contain minor violence but never to a severe extreme that would call for the rating to possibly increased to a 15 or higher. These films are for people aged 12 or older however people younger than 12 may see these if accompanied by an adult.
📷15 ratings: These are only for those who are 15 or over as they may contain several possible minor gore scenes and possible crude humour.
📷18 ratings: These films contain extreme violence along with swearing and possible sexual and drug references. These films are for only people who are of ages 18 or above.
📷 R18 ratings: R18 stands for Restricted 18. This rating is the highest rating a film can be given and is only for those who are 18 or older. These often include extreme sexual and violent scenes without any censorship at all. It may even be illegal for people who are younger than 18 to watch these films at all.
The Dark knight:
The film I have chosen to write about is the Dark Knight.
The film The Dark Knight that came out in 2008 was initially released at a PG rating. However this caused a minor uproar as people thought that characters like the Joker and Two face's designs and actions were way too graphic and violent for a minor PG rating some even went as far as to call for a 15 or even 18 age rating however BBFC eventually settled for the 12A rating. Even today people think that that is not good enough and still call for the 15 and 18 rating however this has not happened and even to this day the film remains of a 12A age rating. There are also certain scenes in general that are too violent for the PG rating for example Joker stabbing a pencil through someones head or eye to kill them this however wasn't gory enough for the 12 rating so it stayed in the 12A rating category. There also wasn't much foul language involved that would buffer it to a 15 or 12 so the 12A category was deemed appropriate for the possible more mature content of this film.

My AVP poster review
My Poster: Official Poster:
📷 📷
I have used similar images to that of the official poster for I have used both the alien and the predator I have also included the title of the film onto the plain black background. I tried to position the Predator so that it was standing behind the Alien however I did not have the room to do that so now the Predator looks like he's floating. I also added in he 15 age rating at the bottom which the original was lacking. In both the Predator appears to be looking directly at the viewer which may add a feeling of fear. Like the actual post I chose to use a blank background so people don't get too distracted on the background. I also included the release date for the film but I added the word released above it so people know what the date numbers are meant to be. However I got a contrast in colour instead on the white background with the black title and text I chose to use the black background with white text.
I had a minor issue with the age rating of the film as it told me it was a PG rating then I found out later it was actually a 15 rating so that was a minor change I had to make in the end.

Film marketing:
The film could be marketed as most horror films are with an 18 rating and with interesting and graphic details.
Fonts we are looked into all are jagged and intimidating at least this fits the theme of horror. They are shown above.
